Fall Creek Falls State Park
Photographers know all the best, most picturesque places to go! Matt at Matt Andrews Photography gave us the inside scoop on one of his favorite proposal locations as a local wedding photographer.
“My favorite state park is Fall Creek Falls. Right outside of Nashville and perfect for a day trip, there are several beautiful falls there. Couples can get soaked after hiking to the falls for some fun adventurous couple photos. This state park also has horse stables, and you can rent a canoe or paddleboat in the lake or hike to the bluffs overlooking the waterfalls.”
Matt also recommends the downtown pedestrian bridge with the Nashville skyline in the background, Belle Meade Winery, or any of Tennessee’s beautiful parks. When it comes to getting the best photos possible, he recommends booking an engagement session, even if it’s after your initial proposal.
“Photographers love for couples to book engagement portrait sessions! I enjoy taking couples to locations like The Nashville Zoo where we can explore and get cute pictures. I might have couples climb up a jungle gym at the playground, feed the giraffes, or ride the carousel holding hands to have fun and laugh together, just like they’re on a real date.”
Centennial Park
Centennial Park is iconic to Nashville. In the photo above, you’ll see the stunning water and Nashville’s Parthenon in the background. Centennial Park offers more of an urban garden feel than the first two parks on our list, plus it’s known as a Nashville staple that speaks to the beauty of the city.
